Brewing Tea:Brewing Instructions

Things you'll need to get started

• The Infuser
  In this movie, we'll be brewing tea using what's called an infuser.
• The Tea
  Make sure that you store it in an air-tight container prior to brewing. Use 1 teaspoon of loose leaf tea per cup.
• The Water
  When making tea, the hot water should always be freshly boiled just before being added.

How to brew your tea

1. Boil the water
2. Place one teaspoon of tea inside the infuser
3. Place the infuser inside the teapot
4. Let steep for 5 minutes
5. Remove the infuser and pour a nice hot cup of tea

Tea Terminology

Teaspoon

A small spoon that is used especially for eating soft foods and stirring beverages and that holds one third of a tablespoon

Infuser

A perforated device used to steep tea leaves in liquid (as water) without boiling so as to extract the soluble constituents or principles

Teapot

A vessel with a spout and a handle in which tea is brewed and from which it is served
